Geko Direct Goes into Administration

With a week passed since the sad news of Geko Direct going into administration we are finding a number of local businesses that have been left holding the baby so to speak.

Administrators were called into the Telford based Orange dealer last week (Friday 6th May 2011) and all Geko Direct offices have been closed and sadly over 100 staff have lost their jobs with immediate effect.

With their demise their existing customers that have been promised cash back to discount line rental may find themselves out of pocket and with nobody to contact or joining a list of creditors compiled by the appointed administrators.

"Unfortunately customers that have such agreements will need to find help and support locally but customers need to know that the contract for the cash back was with them and Geko and not with Orange. Their service will remain unaffected and they can rely on Orange to ensure they get help and are pointed in the direction of local dealers to get that support they require." said Mandip Singarda, Sales Director at Aspect said.
